Infusions typically take 20-40 minutes. This time depends on the amount of fluids and treatment you're receiving, the size of the catheter, and your body.
Many people are scared of receiving an IV because of the needle. However, the pain is typically minimal given the small size of the catheter/needle we utilize. We do also offer a free topical anesthetic that helps reduce the pain upon insertion of the IV
Typically almost anyone who is 16 years and older, who is 100+ lbs. Your safety is our top priority, and we will discuss your medical history prior to administering any treatments and make sure you are a good candidate for our specific therapies. We do not treat patients with certain medical conditions such as heart failure, chronic kidney disease, cirrhosis, and patient’s who require care beyond our capabilities.
Any time there is a needle physically entering the skin, there is a small risk of infection, bleeding, bruising, and slight pain. We do all we can to avoid these common side effects. In addition, some people have allergies to certain medications. Discussing your medical history should decrease the chance of this when you let us know any allergies you may have.
All components of our infusions are metabolized fairly quickly, and may be common for people to receive once or twice weekly. We can discuss what you're looking to focus on to customize a plan that works best for you.
We do not accept private insurance, medicare or medicaid. Our treatments are generally far less expensive than most co-pays, and a fraction of an ER or Urgent care visit.
We do accept HSA and FSA accounts for all IV services.
